Digital storytelling reshaped my professional and creative life.
Several years ago, I attended a digital storytelling workshop offered by StoryCenter in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The workshop awakened in me a creative streak that I didn't know existed. Since that workshop in 2011, digital storytelling has been a centerpiece of my professional life, both as a teacher and a maker.
I love nothing more than to work with students as they tackle the joys and complexities of creating a multimedia story. Together we face the challenges of telling a story in a very short amount of time, using technology that may be unfamiliar. Over and over again, I've seen how digital storytelling gets under their skin, the way it did for me many years ago.
